Steampunk Romance Novels

What is Steampunk?

By definition in wikipedia, it is a sub-genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery, especially in a setting inspired by industrialized Western civilization during the 19th century.

Steampunk works are often set in an alternative history of the 19th century's British Victorian era or American "Wild West", in a post-apocalyptic future during which steam power has regained mainstream use, or in a fantasy world that similarly employs steam power. Steampunk usually features anachronistic technologies or retro-futuristic inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them, and is likewise rooted in the era's perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, and art.

Combining the Steampunk theme along with a romance novel makes a great mix for the imagination.

This music video is a popular example of media that's Steampunk oriented. Lindsey Stirling's outfit, the time frame, and partially the music is all Steampunk themed.

  1. I had heard of Lindsey Sterling a couple summers ago. She performed at the Granada and I have to say that she is the most awkward performer I have seen. She still has some good music. Another fun fact I found out about her is that she is actually Mormon.
